For this weeks Strength Chat, I had the opportunity to speak with a physiotherapist working within the NHS as well as in the gym environment, Alex Kraszewki. Alex puts some awesome content and information out there, and really makes people rethink as to what the definition of rehab is. How he can blend rehab and training together is a powerful tool, and you can that with the results he gets with clients. Therefore, in this episode, we chatted about defining rehab, how you can manage both rehab and training together, as well giving clients what they want but also what they need.

For this weeks Strength Chat episode, I got the opportunity to speak with a strength rehab professional to some of the worlds most elite athletes, as well as being an impressive powerlifter himself, Dr. Andrew Lock. As a rehab specialist who has been around strength sports for such a long time, it was great to get an insight into how Andrew has been able to keep his athletes healthy and strong. Therefore, in this episode, we chatted about common injuries in strength sports and their causes. We also covered some myths surrounding injuries and the best way to try and prevent them.

In this weeks Strength Chat, I was joined by an athletic performance specialist with degrees in Sports Nutrition, Sports Science, and Sports Psychology, as well as 20 years’ experience of working with combat athletes, Tony Ricci. With experience in both the academic and practical side of athletic performance, it was great to speak with Tony about how he uses both to get the most out of his athletes. A really knowledgeable guy who you can tell has a real passion for what he does and loves to see his athletes do well. In this episode we covered how to get the most out of a session with limited time to compliment an athlete’s performance, managing an athletes training volume, as well as nutrition best practises in combat sports.
